Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Banking Regional Manager for the Virginia Division, the Portfolio Manager oversees assigned Business Banking loan portfolios. The role works with internal teams and third parties to support portfolio growth, maintain credit quality, coordinate loan closings and funding, and ensure timely servicing. The Portfolio Manager works independently, uses sound judgment, and proactively resolves client, portfolio, and operational issues.

Education and Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
* 3 years of commercial loan portfolio administration experience to include thorough knowledge of commercial lending products, credit administration practices, loan documentation requirements, and portfolio management processes.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
* Experience coordinating commercial loan closings, modifications, renewals, and construction loan funding activities.
* Knowledge of SBA lending programs, including SBA 504 loan structures, eligibility requirements, closing processes, and servicing requirements.
* Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills; able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Ability to learn the commercial loan system, products, services, policies and procedures.
* Attention to detail is a must.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and loan documentation software.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience closing and funding SBA 504 loans and working directly with Certified Development Company (CDC) processors.
* Formal credit training.

Essential Functions:
* Manage assigned Business Banking loan portfolios, supporting servicing, maintenance, growth, retention, and relationship management.
* Create and maintain credit files; compile the information necessary for the renewal or review of credit facilities.
* Assist in completing loan administration reviews, proposals, and modifications; perform due diligence requirements including appraisals, environmental reports, title work, lien searches, and flood determinations.
* Prepare loan documents and system worksheets, establish and service accounts, and obtain required post-closing documentation.
* Coordinate commercial construction and SBA 504 loan closings, advances, and funding with borrowers, CDC processors, attorneys, title companies, internal teams, and other parties; review project budget, inspection reports, lien wavers, title updates and draw documentation among others.
* Monitor insurance, documentation and financial statement exceptions, general ledger activity, and other servicing requirements.
* Complete routine correspondence, and other assigned duties.
