Summary

We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Growth Associate to drive growth across our strategic federal accounts, with a primary focus on the US Army and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This role is ideal for an up-and-coming growth professional, such as a former Government Program Manager/Analyst or a consultant looking to transition from a major consulting firm, who brings hands-on exposure to VA and DoD acquisition landscapes.

You won't just be managing a process from behind a desk; you will be in the room, actively networking, attending industry events, and representing Karsun's delivery record and modernization capabilities to government and industry stakeholders. While this is not a software engineering role, you must be comfortable enough with modern technology (e.g., Agentic AI, modern software development, cloud) to speak intelligently with technical leaders and prospect successfully.

What You'll Be Doing:

Capture & Account Strategy
  • Account Support: Support growth in VA and US Army accounts by developing the customer and market intelligence that informs capture decisions, helping establish a footprint in accounts where our presence is growing.
  • Capture Execution: Support opportunities through the capture lifecycle, working under the capture lead once an opportunity enters the active pipeline phase.
  • Win Strategy & Positioning: Develop compelling win themes, value propositions, and capability gap analyses tailored specifically to Army and VA acquisition frameworks (including Commercial Solutions Openings, the Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP), Other Transaction Authority agreements, and task order competitions under GWACs).
  • Teaming & Partnerships: Collaborate with Business Development to identify strategic teaming partners, assess competitive intelligence, and prepare teaming materials for Contracts and Finance review. Negotiation and signature authority for teaming agreements remain with Contracts.
Proposals & Content Creation
  • Proposal Writing: Actively write and contribute to proposal sections, turning customer intelligence and technical capabilities into clear, winning narrative responses.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Solution Architects, Proposal Managers, Pricing teams, and Client Delivery to ensure technical solutions, price-to-win strategies, and proposal messaging are fully aligned.
  • Pipeline Discipline: Maintain accurate opportunity records Karsun's CRM, including call plans, engagement logs, and status changes. Verify sourcing before logging, and distinguish confirmed government information from internal estimates.
Networking & Field Presence
  • In-Person Networking: Attend industry days, agency events, and customer briefings where a named contact tied to an active pursuit is expected, working the room, building relationships, and positioning Karsun for upcoming procurements. Cover other events for market intelligence and document what was learned.
  • Domain & Tech Fluency: Represent Karsun's delivery record and core competencies confidently. Comfortably discuss modern software trends (such as Agentic AI, Cloud Solutions, and Advanced Analytics) at a high level with client and partner stakeholders.
  • Demo Support: Learn to deliver the standard ReDuX capability demonstration and serve as a backup demonstration presenter for customer and partner meetings. This does not require a software engineering background.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of total experience in federal growth, program management, or acquisition.
  • Prior experience as a Government Program Manager / Program Analyst transitioning to industry, or experience coming out of a major consulting firm.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of networking, working the room at events, and building rapport with government and industry leaders.
  • Solid working knowledge of VA and Army acquisition processes and DoD contracting mechanisms (including Commercial Solutions Openings, Other Transaction Authority agreements, and GWAC task order competitions).
  • Hands-on experience writing for federal proposals and working within structured capture processes (Shipley or similar).
  • High fluency with modern tech concepts, able to articulate value propositions around modern software development, cloud, and emerging tech like Agentic AI without needing to be a software engineer.
  • Proficiency navigating federal market intelligence platforms (e.g., GovWinIQ, USAspending, HubSpot).
  • In-person availability to attend local events, agency meetings, and team sessions in the Herndon, VA / Washington, D.C. area.
  • US Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 - 4 years supporting DoD / US Army accounts and at least 1 year of direct exposure to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
  • Veterans and transitioning service members are strongly encouraged to apply.
