Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Sentara Care Partner Program
  • Certified Nursing Aide Program
  • US Navy Hospital Corps School
  • Medical Assistant Program
  • Emergency Technician Program

Certification/Licensure

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification(CNA)
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • National Patient Care Technician Certification (NCPCT)
  • EMT-Basic / NREMT
  • Current student enrolled in a clinical program (RN, LPN, RT, or PT) with at least one semester completed

Experience

  • Must be a spring SCOHS PCT or BSN sophomore to apply!

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$15.75 - $20.46Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
