Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality requirements and metrics in compliance with standards (AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, FAA regulations, etc.).
  • Support plant safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Conduct contract reviews and address customer quality issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage processes and metrology activities to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal, external, product, and process quality audits.
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and ensure incoming materials and suppliers meet quality expectations.
  • Coordinate and assist in training personnel on quality assurance concepts, tools, and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain written quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensure products shipped meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation, including Certificates of Conformance, revision status, router sign-offs, test reports, and computer data entry, is complete.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to ensure conformity to drawings, specifications, and routing instructions.
  • Perform NDT and CMM inspections at receiving, in-process, and final stages to ensure compliance with specified requirements and product quality.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.
  • Pass Certified Inspector Qualification in a reasonable time frame.
  • Ability and willingness to learn in lean, six-sigma, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to read and interpret technical requirements of a quality system
  • Proficient with MS Office and QMS type software
  • Understand requirements of NADCAP, FAA, DCMA, customer and international standards that apply to quality, as required.
