Position Summary The Manager, Sewing will be responsible for helping to plan, schedule and run sewing production for our products. Will ensure that all products are manufactured to meet the highest quality standards. Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for sewing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and staffing requirements.

  • Execute, develop, and implement processes to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures, continual process improvement.

  • Establish work in process flow to the production floor to ensure that daily schedule and expectation are met.

  • Drive team member initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved and committed to the success of the Company.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all production requirements are met.

  • Identify key performance improvement indicators, targeting opportunities for improvement, adopting best practice processes, and successfully executing improvement initiatives.

  • Actively lead recruitment and hiring process, to ensure staffing levels are maintained with quality talent.

  • Design and execute effective staffing strategies to ensure work force is flexible and can respond to variations in the workflow.

  • Ensure superior service to guests and internal partners by delivering on production commitments to our guests.

  • Drive initiatives to meet the highest level of service quality to our guests.

  • Create great communication and business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Effectively lead and develop team by utilizing performance management techniques to enhance performance and achieve individual as well as company goals.

  • Ensure that the performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, Quality and Customer Service

  • Ensure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved through a process of continuous process improvement.

  • Work closely with other leaders to communicate and educate on work instructions, policies, procedures, and process improvement initiative.

  • Ensure standardization and sharing of best-demonstrated practices with all departments in Manufacturing.

  • Ensure the company's physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly controlled, maintained, protected, and utilized.

  • Utilize process improvements to continually improve operational efficiencies.

  • Create an environment that motivates team members to excel and 'own' the process.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Two-five years minimum experience managing operations in a manufacturing environment. A minimum of one - three years of experience using lean six sigma or manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools. Strong working knowledge of sewing production, sewing techniques, and sewing machine operation is a must. Ability to lead and influence a cross-functional team is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

**Bilingual English/Spanish a plus**

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Office 365, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will directly manage a team within Manufacturing. Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company's future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $68,640.00 - $91,620.00

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
