Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is actively recruiting additional Pediatric Neurohospitalists to join our rapidly expanding Child Neurology Program. This unique position offers a dynamic, four-physician service with a structured, four-week rotation, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with specialists in Neurosurgery, Neuroimaging, Neuro-oncology, and Neuropathology to provide the highest standard of care to our pediatric patients.

Position Details:

The Neurohospitalist role entails the following rotating schedule:




  • Week 1: Daytime inpatient service, managing hospitalized pediatric neurology patients.
  • Week 2: Night shift coverage (in-house not required).
  • Week 3: Acute care clinic reserved for urgent pediatric neurology consultations (e.g., first-time seizures), not intended for long-term management.
  • Week 4: Off.



Additional expertise or interest in the following areas is highly desired:




  • Pediatric Stroke
  • Pediatric Epilepsy
  • Neuroimmunology



Responsibilities:




  • Provide comprehensive inpatient neurohospitalist services for pediatric neurology patients.
  • Participate in collaborative care with the Pediatric Epilepsy and Child Neurology teams.
  • Engage in educational opportunities, including teaching and mentoring neurology, pediatrics, and neurosurgery residents and fellows.
  • Contribute to the development of the Child Neurology program, focusing on patient care and clinical innovation.
  • Participate in institutional research activities, fostering advancements in the field of pediatric neurology.



Qualifications:




  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida.
  • Strong interest in acute pediatric neurology, stroke, epilepsy, and neuroimmunology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
