The Division of Neonatology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full time board certified/eligible Neonatal-Perinatal Physician at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor on the Academic Track. We seek a candidate with proven clinical experience in newborn intensive care and research or instruction/education, with interests in one or more of the following fields: neonatal nutrition, neurodevelopment, infection/immunity,hematology, pulmonology/resuscitation, global neonatology, ethics, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, point-of-care ultrasound, educational and outreach program development, and diversity, equity and inclusion. The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is nationally ranked as one of the best Children's Hospitals with special recognition in five sub-specialties, including Neonatology (source: 2018 US News and World Report). The Division is a national leader in providing innovative care, conducting research, and teaching skills to recognize and treat medical problems of the neonate. The Division participates fully in the Department of Pediatrics mission, focusing its attention through patient care, teaching and research on medical problems that arise during infancy and the consequences of disease that persist into later life. The Division serves as a resource for other newborn intensive care units for infants with multi-organ system failure, complex diagnostic and surgical problems, and long-term, technology-dependent conditions.
