Accounting Analyst The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for all reconciliation and analysis of various General Ledger accounts for the US and other international operations. This role requires a thorough understanding of financial policies and practices. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly/yearly closings including account analysis and posting entries Reconcile various bank accounts by compiling and balancing financial information Reconcile various other accounts including prepaids, accruals, payroll, and accounts payable Prepare sales tax calculations and filings Coordinate payments for international activities Respond to requests from external and internal auditors on a timely basis to keep all audits on track. Completes other accounting tasks as needed including assisting with special projects on an ad hoc basis. Required Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting Five or more years of experience in financial environments Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles Proficient Excel abilities Eager to learn and operate in a virtual group setting using Microsoft Teams Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis Comfortable with using or learning necessary systems: JDE - general ledger/ERP system Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information Close attention to detail and deadlines Ability to compile professional and thorough accounting reports Ability to analyze information in an objective and nonbiased manner Cost accounting experience a plus Respects and understands Sarbanes-Oxley rules Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
