Detailed Position Information
The School Psychology program at the University of Alabama invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of School Psychology with a start date of August 16, 2025 depending on candidate availability. This is a nine-month, non-tenure earning position with a contract of three years, eligible for renewal.

Responsibilities:

* Teach graduate level courses and provide university supervision for practica/internships in School Psychology program;

* Contribute to program administration and program activities in both the on-campus and distance learning (hybrid) programs in School Psychology;

* Provide effective mentorship and advisement to promote School Psychology graduate students' professional competence and skill development;

* Contribute to initiatives and activities in the department and college;

* Provide leadership in service and outreach to the university, school districts/other agencies, and professional of School Psychology.

Minimum Qualifications
* Earned doctorate degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved and/or APA-accredited program prior to the Fall 2025 start date;

* Eligible for certification as a school psychologist in Alabama and commitment to obtain this state credential if hired;

* Evidence of success in prior graduate instruction, program development, and student mentoring;

* Experience with graduate curriculum standards in school psychology;

* Commitment to supporting a range of student needs and backgrounds in graduate preparation programs;

* Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students across the college and university.

Preferred Qualifications
* Eligible for licensure as a doctoral level psychologist in Alabama and commitment to obtain this state credential if hired; * Experience with instructional technology applications and distance delivery methods for graduate education; * Demonstrated experience providing school psychological services to all populations; * Potential to provide service to schools, professional associations, and other agencies; * Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).
