JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Be responsible for the overall operation of the camp. Serve as a Camp Ambassador-meet and great campers. Provide a detailed daily schedule that outlines all camp activities. Prior to the start of Camp, conduct a staff orientation meeting to review the coach/counselor responsibilities per policy AD 39. Ensure that the camp staff have submitted the appropriate background clearances and completed the required trainings. Conduct a camper orientation meeting with all campers to review camp goals, camper expectations and standards of conduct while at camp. If an overnight camp, live in the residence halls and provide supervision of campers (safety and security are a priority) and assign a coach and/or camp counselor to be on duty from the end of the evening session until the next morning. Monitor the hours of camp staff and have staff sign off on their hours worked. Account for all campers--take attendance prior to each session and each night. Complete the necessary paperwork if a camper should depart from camp early. Work with the Sports Health staff during the entire camp. Background Requirements: The following background checks must be successfully completed for this position: This position will require successful completion of PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
