JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Altoona Intercollegiate Athletics invites applicants for a part time Athletics Communication Assistant. This sports information opening will work closely with the Director of Athletics Communication to assist in the promotion and publicity of Penn State Altoona's NCAA Division III teams. This opening will serve as the primary contact for several sports, to-be-determined upon the successful candidate's strengths and experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

About Penn State Altoona Intercollegiate AthleticsPenn State Altoona Athletics is an NCAA Division III program located in Altoona, Pennsylvania and is a member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. The department sponsors 17 varsity intercollegiate sports teams: baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's bowling, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's volleyball, and men's and women's wrestling. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
