Assistant Professor - Chemistry and Biochemistry Requisition ID: 2024-7903 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Faculty Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Faculty College: College of Science Department: Chemistry & Biochemistry Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits Overview The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Utah State University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track position in organic chemistry at the Assistant Professor level estimated to start in August of 2025. The successful applicant will develop an externally funded research program in organic chemistry; preference will be given to applicants with research interests that complement existing research in the department. Applicants must have earned a PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline; postdoctoral experience in experimental organic chemistry is preferred. The position requires the development of a nationally recognized, externally funded, research program and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching responsibilities will include organic courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
