FSU/Lee Health is seeking an OB/GYN Faculty Physician to support the FSU College of Medicine OB/GYN Residency Program at Cape Coral Hospital!

Lee Health is a nonprofit organization with more than 17,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 1,200 employed primary care and specialty providers with multiple practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.

About FSU's OB/GYN Residency Programs:

Florida State University College of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Lee Health (Cape Coral) aims to:

  1. Train residents to provide the highest quality patient-centered, evidence-based care, enhancing womens health in communities they serve;
  2. Graduate residents who obtain certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology;
  3. Ensure a program culture that exemplifies excellence while ensuring a psychologically safe, professional environment of inquiry;
  4. Graduate residents who are committed to lifelong learning and patient advocacy who are dedicated to improving health disparities and health equity; and
  5. Provide residents with a comprehensive clinical and surgical skills curriculum designed to prepare them for advanced subspecialty training or independent practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology in a range of clinical settings.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecologyas well as respective Board Certification (or Board Eligibility as appropriate)
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida, or ability to obtain this prior to start date
  • Clear, unrestricted DEA
  • AIUM Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of starting in position
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a teaching or faculty capacity with a graduate medical education program
  • Current BLS/ACLS credentials through the American Heart Association
  • Must comply with all ACGME core faculty requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, supervising, and evaluating obstetrics and gynecologyresidents using real time face to face feedback
  • Participate in remediation of residents
  • Participate in resident's Didactic conferences including M&M, journal club, etc
  • Dedicated protected administrative time
