Under the management of the Clinical Program Manager the Athletic Trainer will collaborate with the provider and care team to triage and care for the orthopedic patient. Tasks include rooming in of patients, patient education, preparing for patient injections, care of the pre and post-op patient including physical examinations under the supervision of the provider. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelors of Science degree in physical therapy or allied health sciences required. EXPERIENCE Two years of experience as an athletic trainer. LICENSURE Nationally certified athletic trainer (ATC), Connecticut state licensure, BLS required. SPECIAL SKILLS Casting and experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred. PHYSICAL DEMAND Must be able to assist mobility impaired patients and assist in patient transfers.
