SchoolLink, an outgrowth of ParentLink, offers trusted information, support resources, and connections for school professionals in Missouri. ParentLink provides parenting information anyone raising a child in Missouri, using a variety of delivery methods to ensure comprehensive support. Since 1989, ParentLink has served tens of thousands of Missouri families as well as service providers working with them. ParentLink became the Help Me Grow (HMG) Missouri Affiliate (HelpMeGrowNational.org) in 2015 and continues as such, joining 27 other states to focus dedicated attention on health and well-being of young children. Job Description
1. Following protocol, professional standards, and best practices, interact with each school professional to: a. Identify needs/concerns in obtaining a resource. 2. Actively engage with local, regional, and state resources in education, behavioral health, and health to identify areas of need and resources that will assist school professionals and the school community members they serve. 3. Use ParentLink WarmLine to assist in research and consultation with caregivers, as needed. 4. Maintain data on client, recording such elements as: Client description; Client need; Action taken; Referrals made; Follow-up provided, etc. 5. Maintain data on community resources: Identify barriers to services, Identify gaps in services, Update community resource information in iCarol resource database 6. Prepare and submit reports as requested 7. Participate in ParentLink and other trainings to strengthen skills as a Navigator 8. Work with school professionals and other stakeholders from a strength's perspective; help school professionals to feel empowered, speak up, and articulate their concerns and needs; work with the school professional to identify strengths and clarify the concerns and challenges; provide emotional support to school professionals; honor and respect every person; encounter each school professional with compassion; approach individuals in the spirit of collaboration; serve with integrity and excellence 9. Conduct follow-up on cases in targeted communities to ensure that each school professional served was able to connect to resources provided and if additional action is needed. Identify gaps in services and barriers to receiving services, documenting in an online system. Shift
M-F, 8am-5pm - 20 hours per week Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, Child and Family Development, Counseling, Health Administration, or related area Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $17 to $21/hour Application Materials
