Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Baker II is responsible for production and display of baked goods and pastries for restaurants and banquets. The emphasis is on quality, appearance and service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Punch in for assigned shift on time with a clean, well-groomed appearance and in full uniform
  • Consistently produce appetizing, "Deer Valley" high quality baked goods accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a sufficient inventory of baked goods as business dictates. Keep stations and displays clean and organized
  • Follow designated recipes and procedures. Be creative in presentation of baked goods for restaurants and banquets
  • Organize work time efficiently. Assigned stations should be set up at proper times, bakery deliveries should be ready at proper times, banquets open on time
  • Perform daily requisitioning from storeroom personnel, planning ahead so there is enough in stock for the next shift of bakers. Avoid waste through the proper use and storage of food
  • Take the initiative in maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment
  • Use and care for Deer Valley equipment appropriately
  • Offer unyielding assistance to our guests. Present a courteous attitude to guests. Smile and be helpful. Should you not have an answer or be unsure of a situation, refer the guest immediately to a floor supervisor or manager
  • Work in cooperation with all employees including Stewards and Storeroom. We are all here to provide a fantastic product for our guests
  • Supervise Bakery Counter Attendants and Level I bakers, help them learn their job
  • Be flexible as needed ~~ be ready and willing to undertake other duties as assigned
  • Be familiar with and follow company policies as outlined in the employee manual


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefer a minimum of 3 months in the Deer Valley Bakery or culinary school or the industry equivalent
  • Must be able to present a courteous attitude to guests, work well with other employees and follow directions
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early morning and evening shifts
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Lifting and carrying full sheet pans


DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • 11/25/2024 - 4/20/2025


PAY RATE:
  • Pay: $22.50 per hour
