Set Up Operator (Secondary Operator) - 2nd Shift

Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines and performs assigned secondary operations.

• Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools and, CNC machines and Cam driven Bar Machines.
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
• Change offsets on CNC Machines.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Utilize precision instrumentation and gages to verify product quality and integrity.
• Move completed parts per standard work processes.
• Complete appropriate documentation to track production and quality outputs.
• Operate equipment used to complete the secondary operations EX: Everlube/Sandblaster/Barrel Finisher
• Boxing completed parts to prevent damage
• Move parts from one operation to next EX: Chip Shake/Parts Washer
• Replenish warehouse with component parts as needed
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of six months of on-site training as a machine operator, 12 months of machinist training from a Parker approved training program, or 3 years of related work experience as a machinist
