Position Responsibilities
  
 
  The primary responsibility of the Commissioning Team Lead is to lead and perform Commissioning and Decommissioning activities for both Uptower and Downtower component repairs and return to service requirements including: Downtower DTA changeouts and retrofits, LOTO and advanced troubleshooting on major wind OEM platforms throughout North America. Duties and Responsibilities include:
   
   
 Be able to lead and manage 2 to 15 personnel in all duties & responsibilities on site
 Maintain and complete all required reports and documentation as directed
 Project a Professional Image as First Line communicator with on site customer team members
 Travel extensively with little or no notice to customer wind farm sites
 Embody safety culture and possess a high level of technical expertise 
 Have technical experience for controls interface and troubleshooting purposes across multiple OEM's
 Qualified to create LOTO procedures and follow electrical work plans 
 Understand and follow lift plans
 Develop and write work procedures 
 Initiate and perform high competency tasks as well as follow defined instructions and schedules
 Perform Commissioning and Installation tasks
 Support all other teams within organization as directed such as blade repair teams to pitch and rotate hubs as needed for blade repair and changeouts, MCE and O&M teams for troubleshooting and operation of subsystems, and train other team members as needed.
 Read and comprehend schematics, work instructions and safety protocols
 Work with leads to develop and execute work plans and schedules
 Act as primary customer interface as needed and relay interactions to their leadership 
 Ability to verify tooling and parts to work plans and relay needs and changes and develop reports 
 Ability to multitask and prioritize competing requests

  High School Diploma
Position Requirements
  
 
   Four (4) years wind or related fields with heavy mechanical and electrical industrial background
 Knowledge of basic construction; electrical and mechanical inclination; schematic reading and comprehension, basic knowledge of hydraulic tensioning, torqueing, fastener/bolting, hydraulic cylinders
 Office proficiency with Word and Excel
In addition to a general ability to climb ladder systems to top heights of a wind turbine nacelle, often with tools and equipment in tow, the following requirements must be met: 
 Able to lift / carry materials that are an average weight of (35) pounds, up to (70) pounds 810 hours daily, from waist, shoulder or even above shoulders 
 Must be comfortable with heights (260 feet or more) and confined spaces 
 Able to sit or be in a stationary position at times 8 to10 hours daily 
 Capable of Standing, Walking and Climbing as much as 8 to 10 hours daily 
 Reaching/Positioning Self as frequently as 8 to 10 hours daily 
 Lifting/Transporting 8 to 10 hours daily
 Able to tolerate exposure to weather (ranging from hot, cold, rain, sun, snow) up to 8 to 10 hours daily 
 Ability to meet OSHA weight requirements for ladder climbing of 250 to 300 pounds, determined by considering the total weight limits of ladders and rigging harnesses including equipment and tools, as well as the combined weight of any two climbers in a potential rescue situation.
