JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Information Technology and Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations programs at Penn State Lehigh Valley are seeking applications for part-time teaching appointments for the Spring 2025 semester and the 2025-2026 academic year.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • We are seeking instructors with previous teaching experience and/or work experience capable of teaching courses in any of the following: computer networking concepts, databases and SQL, cyber analytics, Java/Python programming, or security and risk analysis.
  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field is required.
  • Duties include teaching one to three undergraduate level courses (1-3 credits each up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester each spring, and/or fall semester depending on expertise and needs). Additional duties may vary by assignment.
  • Teaching duties may require teaching day, evening or weekend classes depending on the needs of the class being taught.
  • Courses are primarily taught using an in-person (on campus) modality. Courses may also be taught in a variety of modalities, including hybrid options of classroom and synchronous or asynchronous modalities, depending on the needs of the program.
  • A teaching review will occur during your first semester of teaching.
