Description

PURPOSE:

Improve the organization's market position and achieve financial growth within the assigned business unit by meeting the sales and booking goals for the year. Define long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Encourage collaboration with the sales and marketing team, operations team and function leaders to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure short, medium and long-term profitability.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY





    • Create and Own the Revenue (Bookings) and Profit (Margins) business unit goals.
    • Build and maintain the KPI Dashboard and reports for the business unit.
    • Develop the S&OP for the business unit in conjunction with sales and operations leadership.
    • Build and maintain an evergreen business plan for accelerating services growth in the Power (emphasis on Nuclear and Combined Cycle), Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Natural Gas/Pipeline, and emerging industries.
    • Develop, review, and report on the business unit's growth focused business plan, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed.
    • Perform market analysis for the effective development and refinement of the business plan.
    • Research and evaluate competitors and threats to the business unit.
    • Make higher level strategic calls on customers in partnership with the sales team.
    • Review and develop strategic sales initiatives with sales leadership to drive territory growth.
    • Develop sales and marketing programs and collateral in collaboration with the sales team.
    • Coordinate the business unit component of MVC account plans using company customer relationship management (CRM) in conjunction with the sales team.
    • Monitor sales quote tracking to provide support and assist with follow up.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team on annual service goals and the implementation of the company's strategic sales and operational plans for Final Control services.
    • Provide training opportunities on application and solutions to stakeholders.
    • Work in partnership with operations to improve business unit processes.
    • Engage with Emerson Impact Partners to share best practices.
    • Manage the partner / supplier relationship.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements, to be approved by the Board.
    • Understand the key value add applications.
    • Locate and develop efficiency tools for the business unit deliverables.
    • Function as the customer's expert collaborative partner.
    • Survey customers to locate areas of improvement and increased sales opportunities.
    • Manage subject matter expertise within the territory.
