We're seeking a high-performing Sales Engineer to lead sales efforts for our Stylus Optical Metrology, Tribology, and FilmTek product lines across the US Midwest territory. Responsibilities

What You'll Do

    Work with Engineers and Scientists: Provide Bruker Solutions to complex industry/research problems.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong connections with scientists, engineers, and decision-makers in key sectors like semiconductors, microelectronics, and biotech.
  • Strategize & Execute: Develop and implement tactical sales plans to meet and exceed quarterly targets.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams (Applications, Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing) to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Represent Bruker: Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer events to showcase our technology and expand your network.
  • Own the Territory: Drive sales growth by managing the full sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-in academic, industrial, and government research environments.


Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience selling into academic, industrial, and semiconductor markets is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multi-level sales channels and strategic selling methodologies (Miller-Heiman preferred).
  • Success in capital equipment sales, ideally within scientific or technical markets is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of optical microscopy, tribology, or related technologies highly desired.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with 2 years sales/applications experience or advanced degree in the same fields with no experience.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $75,000 and $134,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
