What You'll Do

A ServiceNow Business Analyst must have knowledge in how to plan, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of IT Services, leveraging best practices (i.e. ITIL). Must be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of current IT processes, including defining "to be" processes, and detailed requirements, to achieve program milestones. Senior BA should understand "out of the box" functionality and capabilities of ServiceNow, including basic ITSM (IT Service Management) application understanding and Service Level Management.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting recommendations for suggesting and implementing ITIL best practices into daily operations
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to gather and process information
  • Defining metrics and creating reports to justify suggestions and recommendations
  • Perform analysis and assessments to identify gaps in current processes
  • Attend daily standups for continuous engagement with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or business administration experience or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow
  • Proficiency in understanding ITIL concepts
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
  • Soft skills are key: communication, ability to manage workload, ability to tracking and verbalize project status, and ensure data completeness and accuracy in a large-scale project.
  • 5 years experience in IT Service Management
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship or Green Card required)
  • ITIL Foundations certified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
  • Experience with reporting and forecasting tools
  • Experience with CMDB
  • Experience with Performance Analytics/reporting in ServiceNow
