The mission of the Neurodiagnostics Department is to provide the highest quality Neurodiagnostic services to all patients who visit VCU Health. We support our patients with 24/7 Neurodiagnostic testing and offer services across 8 locations within the health system, inpatient and outpatient. The Neuro Monitoring Technician should have strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with our impressive neurodiagnostics team. **Flexibility to various work shifts required given 24/7 operations - specific shift(s) to be discussed during interview process** Under the direction of the Chief END Technician, the Neurodiagnostic Assistant is a support position in the Neurophysiology department, with duties designed to be flexible to meet the specific needs of the Neurophysiology department. This position requires the candidate to monitor EMU and continuous EEG patients, document patient activities throughout the study, initial EEG studies every 2 hours, maintain camera placement, communicate patient activities to EEG Technicians, Neurology Residents, Neurology Attending physicians and nurses, and identify seizures. This position will also be assigned administrative duties in support of the Neurophysiology Lab.
