We are committed to academic distinction, creative vision, and diversity among the faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in performance and choreography and the ability to teach classes in modern dance techniques and dance composition.Job Description: Qualification: Terminal Degree in Dance MFA or PhD. in Dance required. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in higher education, which may include conservatory, undergraduate, high school or private studio. Evidence of scholarship and/or professional creative activity. Required Skills include the successful candidate will provide instruction primarily in Contemporary and/or Modern Dance technique, Dance Composition, Improvisation, and History of Dance (Modernism/Postmodernism). Additional skill in other areas of the curriculum, such as Dance Education, Dance Production, Body Therapies, Technology, Tap dance, and/or other non-western dance forms is especially welcome, as is experience in guiding student choreography and producing/directing dance concerts.
