Position Summary Arts & Science is seeking a dynamic Academic Advisor to join the College Advising Team. Working as a member of the College Global Advising and Engagement team, this Academic Advisor supports all efforts aimed at increasing support and student engagement for the international student population. Charged with overseeing and growing advising related international student programming and with supporting all other existing initiatives targeted at international students. Assist with assessment and data collection with a view towards developing and enhancing programs targeted at retaining international students and insuring the successful completion of their degrees. Additionally, assist in the promotion of global study opportunities. Advise and counsel a significant cohort of first-year students, serving as the primary advisor until they declare their major, and remaining as a support and resource person throughout their undergraduate career. Provide overview of curriculum, policies and procedures. Assist with program development and implementation of one of the College's comprehensive academic support programs (e.g. First-Year/Freshman and Transfer Orientation and Advising;) to ensure it meets the current needs of students. Analyze data received through student inquiries, market research, and input and recommend new programs and courses to meet changing needs. Assist in the implementation of marketing events to recruit students for admissions into College's Programs, including developing information sessions and open houses, and attending university-wide and external events. Serve as liaison with faculty and other University personnel, and represent the Dean and the College to internal and external constituencies. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
