The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a corporate associate to join the Investment Services team in our Chicago or Washington, DC office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. About You: You have 1-4 years of corporate or securities law experience at a law firm; You have experience with registered investment companies and investment advisers, private funds, regulatory and compliance matters regarding federal securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933; You ideally have transactional/mergers & acquisition experience involving investment companies; You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously; and You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials, and you are admitted in (and in good standing with) or taking steps to become admitted in the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois or District of Columbia).
