We value the diverse knowledge and experience of all team members and seek cross-functional teams at every level. From the beginning, our motivation has been to create breakthrough diagnostic technologies, seeking innovative ways to help customers solve their problems. The drive to pioneer advancements continues today, as we develop smart, simple, diagnostic technology.

About the role

EnviroLogix is looking for a Senior Scientist. You will be a key member of our R&D team, designing lateral flow tests, but also incorporating new technologies to further improve our existing tests. Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead new development projects for EnviroLogix, with a focus on sandwich and competitive lateral flow assays.
  • Act as a technical leader for the lateral flow development team and mentor associates through assay design, development, and optimization.
  • Independently design experiments with exceptional variable control for lateral flow assay development and optimization.
  • Run experiments, record and analyze data, as well as interpret and present results to the team.
  • Find creative and thoughtful ways to solve R&D challenges.
  • Maintain high-quality work and organization while conducting experiments including documentation in lab notebooks.
  • On time execution of R&D project documentation including controlled documentation for project plans, design inputs, risk management, and verification/validation plans and reports.
  • Exercise exceptional wet laboratory etiquette, team collaboration skills, and work ethic.

This description is not exhaustive. You will have a lot of autonomy over your work and will be helped by leadership and your team so that you can find ways, exciting to you, to contribute to the department and company.

About you

  • You have a master's degree and/or a PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or another related field of applied chemistry/biology.
  • You have 5+ years of assay development experience in industry.
  • You have a proven track record in lateral flow assay development and have experience working with their constituents like gold-based conjugation, antibody evaluation, assay optimization, and more.
  • You have experience in end-to-end product development as a technical leader. You have brought assays through key points in their life cycles (Concept, Feasibility, Verification and Development, Validation, Transfer, and Launch) and are accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
  • You are a scientist who can work independently but enjoys collaborating and sharing knowledge and ideas. You think critically and creatively.
  • You have experience as a technical writer and are familiar with working within a quality management system.
  • You are familiar with project management and strive to adhere to timelines to ensure the team is able to meet milestones.
  • You are excited to discover innovative equipment and processes and incorporate them into your work.
  • You are familiar with intellectual property (IP) and patent review.

If you don't exactly match the description but still believe you are the right person to join the team, please reach out. We value mindset and character.

Why you'll love working at EnviroLogix
