Position Summary
Teach two to three undergraduate computer science courses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement
  • Prepare and teach lessons
  • Assign learning activities as appropriate
  • Assess student learning
  • Grade student work
  • Meet with students


Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Education (or equivalent)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university


Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience teaching computer science at the college level
  • Ability to teach courses related to information technology, hardware, and/or programming languages
  • Willingness to teach in-person, USF Main Campus in Joliet

Hours/Shift/Work Schedule
Part-time; as needed basis.
Physical Requirements of Position
Work is performed in classroom settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
