About our Department: The UMass Memorial Health Care Department of Psychiatry is the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 400 faculty members who work in a variety of settings within UMass Memorial Health Care, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the public sector. We integrate our clinical, research, teaching, and community partnership activities to help individuals and families transform their lives through recovery from mental illness and addiction. * Community Healthlink (CHL) has a long tradition of bringing excellent mental health and substance use disorder services to our city and region, from its inception as a community mental health agency to its current role as a key member organization at UMass Memorial Health. Its 1300 employees serve over 22,000 individuals each year, and its programs assist patients across the life span. We seek a BE/BC child and adolescent psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and participate in team-based offering longitudinal care in our outpatient Youth and Family Services. * The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment and passion for community child and adolescent psychiatry. * This position provides the opportunity for involvement in a full range of clinical and academic pursuits, including serving as a member of our core attending faculty for our child psychiatry fellows, residents and medical students. A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available. CHL programs and services include: * Adult and child outpatient mental health treatment * Primary care for adult outpatient mental health clients * Round-the-clock emergency mental health and substance use evaluation and services * Chosen to be the Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHC) for Central MA beginning January 2023 * Rehabilitation services for adults with serious mental illness (by DMH referral) * Substance abuse treatment services, for adults and adolescents, including inpatient programs, residential recovery treatment, and outpatient counseling * The only inpatient adolescent substance use disorder treatment program in Massachusetts * PACT Team (Programs for Assertive Community Treatment) * Geriatric behavioral health consultation services * Launching LBGTQ specialty mental health clinic * Launching Women's mental health specialty clinic Top Tier Benefits to Reflect Your Value and Needs.
