Description

What you will do:
The MHE Bid Coordinator will carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, mission, values, and applicable laws with respect to their specific job duties. This will include but not limited to creating Material Handling Cost Proposals and finding creative solutions to customer requests. This position will interact with Customers, Service Providers, Suppliers and Transportation companies in the process of putting the Cost Proposals together. This position will also be responsible for the completion of Projects once customer approval is received, and to monitor the Projects costs and Quality Control while in process. The MHE Bid Coordinator will be a liaison with customers, contractors, and vendors in all aspects for Material Handling Equipment and repair. All other Duties as assigned.

What you need:

* Must have high school diploma or GED (w/experience)

* Valid driver's license

* Five (5) years verifiable industrial and/or commercial experience in Material Handling and Conveying Equipment. Of which three (3) years must have been in an installation and estimating capacity in a maintenance environment. BS Degree may substitute for four (4) years' experience.

* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings

* Strong knowledge of electrical theory and mechanical aptitude

* Operational knowledge of Material Handling and Conveyor equipment common to the industry.

* Operational knowledge of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) programs

* Strong negotiation skills with experience in maintenance and service contract negotiations

* Working knowledge of manuals (parts, operation, and maintenance)

* Familiar with OSHA regulations both state and federal

* Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all the above areas

* Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

* Ability to travel when needed

* Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal)

* Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

* Commitment to Customer Service as #1 priority

Preferred Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree

* Three (3) years supervising Material Handling Equipment and Conveying maintenance

* Ability to respond through electronic communications during off hours

* Two (2) years' experience in Estimating, Planning / Production control

* Formal leadership, counseling, or mentorship training

* Time management and prioritization skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management

* Timely decision making and critical thinking

* Adaptability and problem solving

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors of Business Administration (preferred)
Bachelors of Business Economics (preferred)
High School of Accounting (required)
Experience
Strong negotiation skills with experience in maintenance and service contract negotiations (preferred)
5 years: Verifiable industrial and/or commercial experience in Material Handling and Conveying Equipment
Of which three (3) years must have been in an installation and estimating capacity in a maintenance environment (preferred)
