Acara Solutions is seeking a 3rd shift Setup Technician for our medical device client in Rochester, NY. This is a direct placement opportunity!

What You'll Do

  • Perform setups and other production-related duties to maintain production schedules and ensure timely delivery of parts to customers.
  • Work on all presses as production requirements dictate.
  • Maintain cycle and process integrity under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with support departments to ensure tools, machines, and processes align with established protocols.
  • Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production cycles and procedures.
  • Receive training from Senior Setup personnel and Process Technicians to enhance your knowledge and experience on the production floor.

What You'll Get

  • Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7:30am
  • Pay: $22.25 - $27.40/hr. based on experience

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of setup experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in plastic injection molding
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and practice correct molding and setup methods.
  • A positive attitude towards learning new jobs and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interface with team members as needed and direct tasks according to production schedules.
  • Proficiency in reading machine dial gauges and interfaces on injection molding machines.
  • Skill in monitoring machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • High noise levels from operating machines.
  • Exposure to physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
  • Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
  • Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and bending.
  • Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
