General Statement of Responsibilities (broad definition): The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and its unit Boynton Health seek a motivated, strategic Senior Finance Director who has a passion for student health and higher education. Boynton Health is the nation's second largest student health center, providing over 100,000 visits annually. The health center provides a wide range of services including primary care, mental health services, dental care and public health services to University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus to support their health and wellbeing. The Senior Finance Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the financial and billing systems as well as the student health insurance programs that support the mission of advancing the health and wellbeing of students and the University campus community. The Senior Finance Director will be responsible for leading strategic financial initiatives to advance Boynton's long-term objectives. This position assures a financial environment that complies with internal and external requirements, provides timely and accurate financial reporting, and exercises good judgment with an ethical approach to business and compliance issues. The Senior Finance Director represents Boynton's fiscal accountability within the University's Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and to external funders and other University stakeholders as needed.
