DATA ANALYST/POWER BI

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis and a proven ability to leverage Power BI to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets. This position collaborates with various stakeholders, including program staff, senior management, and compliance teams, to ensure data accuracy, identify trends, and improve program performance.



KEY RESPONISBILITIES

Program KPI Tracking



  • Meet with program teams monthly to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze data related to program outcomes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Provide monthly visualizations to program management.
  • Present data in a clear and meaningful way to facilitate decision-making.



Power BI:



  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Develop custom DAX measures and calculations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and design visualizations accordingly.


Problem-Solving:



  • Analyze complex business problems and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and data optimization.


Communication:



  • Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Consolidate data to propose dashboards, PowerPoint decks, and other visualizations.



Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, statistics, business analytics).

5 years as a business intelligence specialist or analyst using Power BI (Proficient), Tableau or similar tools

Experience with Microsoft BI stack including Power BI, SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server

Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and M code within Power BI

Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes to connect Power BI to various data sources

*Hybrid role - commutable distance to the NY office



Salary

$70K-$80K
