Teladoc Health is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Chief Data, Analytics & AI Officer. In this pivotal role, you will lead the company's data, analytics, and AI strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence across all products and services. As a member of the leadership team, you will define and execute a comprehensive roadmap that integrates data-driven insights into critical business areas such as clinical operations, product development, marketing, and client reporting, with the goal of enhancing both clinical and financial outcomes.

You will oversee a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, and analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth. This role requires the ability to build and scale a world-class data and analytics function, ensuring seamless integration with Teladoc's global strategy while also staying at the forefront of industry trends in data science, machine learning, and AI.

In addition to guiding internal data and analytics efforts, you will play a critical role in communicating Teladoc's vision both internally and externally, gaining buy-in from stakeholders, and presenting the company's data and AI strategy to clients and investors. Your leadership will help ensure that Teladoc remains a leader in virtual healthcare, providing cutting-edge solutions that improve health outcomes for people everywhere

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear, cohesive vision for Teladoc's data, analytics, and AI strategy, ensuring strong internal alignment and external advocacy.
  • Define and own the data, analytics, and AI roadmap, ensuring integration of data solutions into products that meet critical business needs and drive clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, clinical, operations, finance, and marketing to achieve business goals and build data-driven strategies and roadmaps.
  • Lead data analytics efforts across areas such as marketing operations, clinical operations, value-based care, product analytics, and client reporting, ensuring data insights are actionable and drive informed decision-making.
  • Oversee the development of machine learning and AI strategies, leveraging them to improve clinical and operational outcomes, while maintaining focus on broader data-driven initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of technical talent, including data scientists, data engineers, and analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation.
  • Establish and drive a culture of data sharing and informed decision-making across the organization to improve business outcomes and operational scaling.
  • Regularly communicate progress and outcomes of data, analytics, and AI initiatives to executive leadership, demonstrating their business value and aligning efforts with organizational goals.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies in data, analytics, and AI, ensuring Teladoc remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovations.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson for data and analytics initiatives, presenting Teladoc's vision and strategies to external stakeholders, including clients and investors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Effectively lead and motivate direct and/or indirect reports (including cross-functional partners) engaged in data-driven functions including overseeing data management, creating data strategy, and improving data quality across the organization.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership, demonstrating the ability to build, grow, and lead high-performing teams in data science, AI, and engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience leading large, complex teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, AI engineers, and data engineers, with a focus on scaling departments and ensuring successful execution of data and AI initiatives.
  • Healthcare Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing data, analytics, and AI strategies that drive business outcomes and product innovation.
  • Strong technical expertise in machine learning, AI, NLP, deep learning, and a variety of data science methodologies, as well as experience with tools like Python, Java, and deep learning libraries such as PyTorch.
  • Proven ability to establish a scalable data engineering function and to deliver innovative data solutions for real-world applications in healthcare or consumer tech.
  • Extensive experience in managing roadmaps, driving successful project delivery, and fostering collaboration across product, engineering, and analytics teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and inspire teams, creating a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and investors.
  • Experience navigating regulatory requirements related to AI and data science in the healthcare industry.

The base salary range for this position is$360,000-400,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed hereTeladoc Health Benefits 2024.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
