Description Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in advancing our research efforts! As a key member of our administrative team, you will work closely with the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other department leaders. You will also collaborate with other dedicated research administrative staff to ensure the smooth and efficient management of all pre-award processes for both internal and external research funding. Your primary responsibility will be to support our Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs) by overseeing the preparation, submission, and administration of research awards. This role is essential to our mission of securing funding that drives groundbreaking research and innovation. Salary: $5,733.33 - $11,750.00 monthly Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of research administration experience. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information in a timely, professional manner. Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, to meet programmatic and financial needs. Close attention to detail in a fast-paced, fluctuating workload environment. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel. Experience preparing, managing, and projecting budgets. Strong writing skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a variety of audiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsor's guidelines. Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting Preferred: Mathematical skills for the preparation of complex calculations and forecasts and to identify and resolve complicated financial scenarios. Knowledge of and experience working with a variety of external sponsors, federal and state sponsors, private foundations, industry sponsors, etc. High School Diploma
