THE JOB:

We are seeking a vibrant and engaging Host Person to play a pivotal role in providing exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests with courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked outlet. As a Host Person, you will collaborate closely with Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners to enhance guest interactions and provide accurate table information.

THE STARTING RATE: $19.4661/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • CommunicatewithRestaurant Reservationsregarding specialorders,cakeorders,specialrequests - responsible for conveyingallsuchinformationtomanagement.

  • Maintainknowledgeofscheduleddailyactivitiesandin-housegroups,dailyhousecount,table/seat/stationnumbers,proper tablesetups,roomcapacity,hoursofoperation,pricerangeanddresscodeoftherestaurant.

  • Greetguestspromptlyastheyentertherestaurant.

  • Answerphones,keepaccuratecountofreservationsandhandlereservationbook.

  • Ensuremenus have proper inserts and are current according to themost recent change and replace allmenus in poor condition.

  • Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen andmanagement.

  • Provide timely updates to management regarding guest reactions and comments, offering assistance as required to guarantee the seamless operation and delivery of high-quality service.

  • Frequentlycheckbackwithguestswhoarewaitingtobeseated;makeitevidenttogueststhattheyhavenotbeenforgotten andthattablesarebeingpreparedforthem.

  • Monitorandmaintaincleanliness,sanitation,andorganizationofassignedworkareas.

  • Shutdownpodiumandforwardphones tovoice-loopatendofshift.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous customer service experience in a similar role.

  • Prior experience in a high-volume fine dining environment.

  • Working knowledge of reservation systems such as: SevenRooms or OpenTable.

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to learn and grow, seeking opportunities for personal and professional development.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts/hours as needed per on call requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

RESTAURAUNT DETAILS:

  • Hours of operation:

    • Sunday to Thursday: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
      Friday to Saturday: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

      Mayfair After Dark
      Fri - Sat: 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM

    • (May work before/after these times for opening and closing procedures)
