This is a Night Shift Position (7:00pm - 7:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule). Training for this position will be conducted on day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm on a 2-2-3 schedule) for approximately 4 - 6 weeks. Once training is complete, the Line Lead will move to a night shift schedule.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Direct daily activities on a specific manufacturing asset, on a specific shift
  • Ensures that team members understand & follow safety, quality & manufacturing processes & procedures to reach production output & waste standards.
  • Oversees start of shift inspection/cleaning on all major pieces of equipment.
  • Oversees maintaining equipment.
  • Oversees training for all personnel on their line.
  • Able to adjust machine(s) to achieve optimum run settings through the shift.
  • Able to complete maintenance and production work-orders.
  • Maintaining 6S compliance.
  • Accommodates rotations to cover positions as needed.
  • Acts as the liaison for communication and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors team members to ensure they meet daily goals.
  • Coaches team members to improve performance.
  • Submits ideas to increase productivity.
  • Tracks and monitors manufacturing metrics.
  • Identifies team success. Communicates and celebrates as appropriate.
  • Supports CI activities on assigned assets.
  • Leads or participates in team meetings and shift transition meetings.
  • Recommends measures to improve safety, quality, production efficiency and equipment performance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the
essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or
ability required.)

Internal - High School or within 12 months of completing a GED and 1 year of production operations experience

External - High School or GED and 18 months of production operations experience

  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone
  • Repeated lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant standing and walking. Occasional to frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
  • Work environment includes occasional noise >85db and hot and cold temperatures.
  • Requires ability to read, write, calculate and reason.
