Wage range: $195,000 - $225,000 Salary

Sign-on Bonus: $30,000 - $40,000 paid out in 4 installments

Relocation Reimbursement: Up to $5,000.

Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Position Summary:

Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of medical staff, including medical assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners. Ensure adherence to clinical standards, evidence-based practices, quality patient care and appropriate scopes of practice while fostering a cohesive and efficient team environment. Serve as an active provider responsible for psychiatric services to identified adults and children seen at Catholic Charities who are enrolled for Mental Health Services.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

Performs psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to enrolled consumers and provides psychiatric services as referred by Crisis and Out Patient staff.



  • Provides psychiatric services to enrolled individuals in intensive treatment, as well as outpatient services.
  • Works in conjunction with crisis services in directing care needs of consumers receiving crisis stabilization services.
  • Evaluates consumers potentially in need of psychotropic medication.
  • Prescribes, monitors and evaluates results of medication prescribed to consumers.
  • Educates consumers on the benefits and risks of all medications prescribed.
  • Orders and evaluates laboratory tests as indicated for appropriate medical and psychiatric care.


Provides consultation to facilitate care of persons served.



  • Consults with Catholic Charities clinical staff as needed.
  • Coordinates and/or consults with outside physicians for psychiatric or medical management of a client under Catholic Charities care.
  • Ensures accuracy of psychiatric diagnoses and assessments conducted by Mental Health staff.
  • Provides expertise and clinical leadership in the development of treatment and discharge planning for consumers served.
  • Oversees quality and suitability of treatment and discharge planning for consumers.
  • Provides education and training to clinical staff regarding diagnosis, treatment planning, use and abuse of medications, health maintenance and related clinical issues.


Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with agency policies and procedures.



  • Follows front office and departmental procedures established for effective program management.
  • Follows agency infection control policies and procedures.
  • Provides services and maintains records to meet BHO requirements, level of care standards, and agency guidelines.
  • Maintains productivity (direct client contact) at 70 % to department standard.
  • Meets regularly with providers and medical staff regarding systemic issues impacting patient care.
  • Participates in team building and coordination to improve program operations and quality of service delivery.


Documents all clinical activities in the electronic health record (EHR) in conjunction with agency guidelines and procedures.



  • Accurately documents all services provided.
  • Completes and submits progress notes in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains the security of EHR system(s).
  • Ensures medication consents are documented and current.
  • Provides legal documentation as required.


Understands and complies with all relevant regulatory and safety standards and requirements.



  • Completes training and licensing requirements in accordance with professional standards of the discipline.
  • Submits licenses and insurance information within 10 days of renewal.
  • Completes paperwork or online applications to assist with credentialing for third party payers.


Performs other duties as assigned.

Program Manager Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Implements and enforces clinical standards, protocols, and evidence-based practices to uphold quality care delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborates with the North Central Director of Behavioral Health and Crisis to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellence in medical practice.
  • Participates in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new medical staff, contributing to the development of a skilled and competent workforce.
  • Serves as a liaison between medical staff and other healthcare professionals, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
  • Stays abreast of advancements in medical practice, healthcare technology, and regulatory changes, and disseminates relevant information to the medical team.
  • Acts as a resource and advocate for patients and their families, addressing concerns, providing education, and ensuring their needs are met.


Supervision Responsibilities:



  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to medical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of medical staff, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Provides clinical supervision for the medical team, as well as other clinical management oversight as appropriately assigned.
  • Encourages and guides staff in ways that are consistent with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities.
  • Continues program development in concert with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities.
  • Participates as a member of Catholic Charities Clinical Management Team.


Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires that physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision and skill.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education



  • ARNP, MD, or DO and Psychiatric Board Certification required.


Experience



  • Minimum of one year experience with direct patient care in psychiatric services required.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role highly preferred.

Licenses, Registration, or Certification



  • Current licensure without any restrictions in the State of Washington
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and required minimum liability insurance for WA State
  • Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities liability insurance provider
  • Active DEA license to prescribe


Employment is conditional upon:
