The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year.

7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position will be based upon the needs of the department.

Job Summary

This position is part of a fiscal team that supports Rio Salado College in the centralized purchasing process. Using customer service skills to communicate via email and in-person as needed, this position will support the College by creating requisitions and assisting in the Purchase Order (PO) generation process, as well as responding to District Purchasing's questions regarding those documents and the approvals of voucher payments. The position will also be assigned areas of specialty and support the team as back up in different areas that Business Services covers and will cross train to provide service to the internal and external community.

Essential Functions

40% - Prepares, processes, and monitors requisitions in the PeopleSoft Financial Management System (FMS) system to PO status. Applies knowledge of general accounting processes and Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) policies, including capital asset requisitioning, to accurately create complicated requisitions.
30% - Provides professional customer service for internal stakeholders in the areas of college finance, funding and/or budgeting. Answers pre or post purchasing questions on processes and policies. Tracks specified college grants and POs in assigned areas providing current status reports and forecasts of future needs for assigned areas.
20% - Responds to voucher requests with accurate information to process payment approvals.
10% - Supports other purchasing document creation within the team, cross training to support all areas; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of fiscal support experience related to area of assignment.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
B. Three (3) or more years' experience with fiscal document practices, including research and record keeping preferably online.
C. Three (3) years' experience applying financial policies and procedures to document processing
D. Three (3) years' experience doing data reconciliation and verification of data
E. Knowledge of Arizona Procurement

May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.
