Northwest Respiratory Services, LLC began as Northwest Home Care, which was founded in Duluth, Minnesota in 1976. As a durable medical equipment provider specializing in respiratory care, we changed our name in 1999 to Northwest Respiratory Services – a name that better defined our focus on respiratory healthcare.

NRS moved its headquarters in 2001 to St. Paul, Minnesota, doubling the size of our facility. We have since added five state-of-the-art Oxygen Transfilling Systems to ensure immediate access to cylinder oxygen at a cost-competitive rate throughout our service area. Over our history, NRS has combined a seasoned staff, technology-aided systems and a commitment to customer service to remain in-tune with the unique needs of our clients with respiratory conditions.

NRS MISSION STATEMENT: To care for our customers with compassion and integrity by providing quality respiratory products and services at the best possible value and with the highest standards of care.

NRS currently provides oxygen and related respiratory products and services to thousands of customers throughout our 13-state service area. We are the exclusive home oxygen supplier to Veterans Administration VISN 23 and to the majority of the State of Minnesota Medical Assistance regions. NRS also holds contracts with most 3rd party payers, including many of the region’s largest HMOs, PPOs, BCBS and Medicare.

NRS is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is licensed as a Class A Home Health Agency by the State of Minnesota.
