Recognized as one of the world's best road courses, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is a 2.54-mile road course situated in the rolling hills 35 minutes north of Atlanta. The multi-purpose facility hosts the 10-hour Petit Le Mans race that closes out the IMSA schedule and is the final of the four endurance races contested by the series. The track prides itself on a family-friendly atmosphere, with a "Kids 12 & Under Are Always Free" policy. Summary Management of projects and activities surrounding client service-related duties in track rentals and other special projects deemed necessary by the Director, Event Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Facilitate sales and follow through of all track rentals, including negotiating terms of contracts, obtaining insurance verification, communicating all necessary support/deliverables from other departments, and supporting vendors to ensure that all aspects of the contract are fulfilled to the client's expectations. Responsible for track rental client development and retention. Responsible for managing the Track Rental calendar and managing the relationships with these partners, negotiating terms and conditions of the contracts, and managing the sales strategy in determining return on investment. Manage and develop client relationships through prospecting, networking, and cultivating the marketing approach/materials to attract future large clients and "Ride and Drive" business. Solicit and interact with clients to manage the partnership and maintain client lists and databases. Responsible for managing the budget, providing input, and achieving revenue sales goals. Work closely and in parallel with the track operations/fulfillment manager, NASCAR Legal/risk departments, accounting, Facilities Director, and all vendor/client support service companies. Manage and assist in training of paid event-time staff to provide staffing for track rental events. Serve in a rotation as Event Lead for track rental weekends. Manage fuel farm/station operation and report readings to accounting. Collecting and filing all Certificates of Insurance for customers coming onto the property. Assist Director of Event Operations during large spectator events. Less than 10% travel required. Supervisory Responsibilities As needed, directly supervises assigned event staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interface, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills Proficient in Company hardware and software as well as Microsoft Office suite of software and applications. Other Skills and Abilities Must be available to work long hours and weekends during race event times.
